Our work reaches thousands of immigrants and allies each year—but we rely on volunteers to be able to do so much. In 2009, more than 40 volunteers have conducted afterschool tutoring, given ESL classes, called deadbeat employers, and translated more documents than we can count. Our volunteers have included students from Molloy College, Hofstra University, St. John’s, and many other schools. Law students find work here particularly useful experience.
Volunteers are currently needed in the following areas:
Legal Interns
Unpaid wages volunteers
General office volunteers
Volunteers for education and Outreach
Trainers in Workers Rights
Translators/Interpreters (in person or via email)
Volunteer for technical support (computer skills, legal advice, etc)
Please fill out the form below and indicate what your areas of interest are and what your available hours would be for volunteering.
