Alliance for Justice—composed of worker committees, that bring together students, volunteers, and workers to  provide support for workers encountering problems on the job: 
             MILI—worker committee of factory workers; recuperates unpaid wages and overtime; fights for the passage and enforcement of fair labor laws
             LOVELI—worker committee of residential cleaning workers

             Hipodromo—committee formed of workers from Belmont and Aqueduct Racetracks

 

 

 

 

Do Immigrant workers really have rights?

 

Yes, all workers have basic rights regardless of their immigration status. We all have a right to be paid the minimum wage and overtime, to labor in safe working conditions and to be free from discrimination and abuse.
