This Power Point presentation was created by an organization called Enlace (a coalition of low wage worker organizations in the US and Mexico, of which the Workplace Project is a member). They conducted extensive research, outlined in this presentation, in order to help the Workplace Project reach out and build stronger bridges with communities that may not yet realize how much they have in common with immigrant workers. |

As the Bush administration has announced repeatedly in the past few days, the immigration authorities will be conducting unprecedented crackdowns at homes and workplaces across the country. What does this mean? It means that dedicated parents are creating emergency plans in case they disappear one day and are unable to contact their children. |

What can you do? · Call your Congressperson or Senator and tell them that immigrant families need legalization, not mass deportation schemes · Pressure your local village, county and town legislators to take a stand—even though immigration is a federal issue, many local governments can exert pressure in favor of immigrant families by writing letters or passing resolutions that support · Support those immigrant families being torn apart by deportation—if you know of a family that has been split up due to immigration actions, help them speak out in this climate of fear |

· An end to the detentions, deportations, raids and collaboration of police with ICE
· Family reunification
· No to the wall, which will waste millions of dollars and will force more immigrants to die at the border
