Mission:
To end the exploitation of Latino immigrant workers on Long Island and to achieve socioeconomic justice by promoting the full political, economic and cultural participation of these workers in the communities in which they live.
History:
The Workplace Project was founded in 1992 as a response to the exploitation of immigrant workers with the purpose of guiding and organizing these vulnerable group, particularly in Long Island, New York where in the last 20 years the Latino immigrant population has increased.
